Mono Salvaje or Savage Monkey is a 3.3 hectare (8.1 acres) parcel of land with a cleared off section that has an amazing view of the ocean and Matapalo in the Osa peninsula. The waters in the gulf are protected from commercial fishing so the waters are healthy and full of marine life. The whales come to the area to give birth to their calves and the dolphins hunt is rich seas! The area is also a bird watchers paradise as we get daily visits from exotic birds like Scarlett Macaws, Toucans, Parrots and many more. Some of the exotic wildlife that that you will see almost on a daily basis are Sloths, Jaguarundis, Coatis, Tamanduas, Ocelots, wild hogs and of course3 different types of monkeys.
