Our Story

Advisors of the Jabbour Luxury Group
Richard first came to the Emerald Coast in 2010 and never looked back. Back and forth yes but a Floridian for sure
Richard purchased a home on the Emerald Coast in Gulf Place at a time when prices remained very low because of the events of 2008. He had finished a few homes in Memphis over time, but had no idea he wanted to do this for his life’s work.
By the end of 2014 Richard found himself deciding to move to his new home he had been building on Wood beach Drive in Sugarwood leaving behind Memphis, Tennessee and the travel back and forth between two homes. He left the corporate world and started fresh.
Motivated to be more intentional, he decided to continue pursuing building homes and see where that would lead. As he was about to embark on his third property fate would intervene.
He met Gayle, and as they were walking one day in Old Seagrove, Richard casually mentioned his enjoyment of designing and building homes and that he had just purchased a lot at the corner of Yaupon and Forest Street. What was probably the first date to go grab coffee in Seaside sparked a business partnership to build homes.
Though it took another 4 years from then, it was probably at that moment that they both knew they had found a new life partner. The business partnership continued and continues to this day, but as they say if you can build a house together you probably can be married. And so in October of 2018 after a 3 year courtship, they were married.
30A Luxury Redefined
Gayle arrived in 1996 and forged her unique path along 30A.
Gayle discovered the Florida Gulf Coast after moving to the New Orleans area in 1994. A postcard about a new development called Rosemary Beach sparked her interest.
She wanted to drive over and while on vacation to that drive east that found her standing more or less at 171 Round Road in Rosemary Beach in a rather undeveloped state. Immediately knowing that it was something thathad to be done, after a short time Lot 1 Block 2 was working its way towards closing.
A nurse practitioner for her career, she too was about to have a course correction. As she was overseeing building a fine home, she realized quickly that she had to learn the rental business and marketing to attract the revenue to make this dream come true. She excelled at that business and many friends worked with her in the early days in that little corner of Rosemary where so many great homes were being built.
By 2012 she found herself deciding to move the the 30a area full time. Her Rosemary home was a successful rental and had been since 1998, so she found another place to live. She also got involved in some real estate investing having done well just after 2011 with the purchase of a home at a very attractive price.
As fate would intervene, after meeting Richard and seeing a new direction, in 2017 she sold her Rosemary Beach home, and her and Richard, having made the decision to become married, purchased Tiger Paw in Seaside and began planning the home that they would build together as there own personal home. It was much more than a business partnership by then. In March of 2019 the carriage house was done and they moved in as they then removed the existing home and began building the main home they live in today. It was completed in 2021.
Gayle became part of the Real Estate Team when Richard’s business started to take hold. He needed an assistant, and the Jabbour Luxury Group was born in September of 2018 when they affiliated with Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty.

Ariel Lost a Tooth here and found her life..
Ariel Blackwood Carroll lost her first tooth vacationing along the Emerald Coast and has been in love with the area ever since. Little did she know, her husband Randy was also vacationing along 30A throughout his childhood. After meeting in Atlanta years later, they decided to move from the busyness of the city and begin their life together in the place the both knew and loved.
Today, she is a global real estate advisor with the Jabbour Luxury Group at Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty.
She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in communication studies and religion from Furman University and jokes about “having her GED in real estate” long before becoming licensed, thanks to sitting at the dinner table with two broker parents. She attended Emory University for graduate school, where she studied theology and bioethics, later working in psychology research and traveling the world as a public speaker. After a “quarter-life crisis” and swearing she’d never get into real estate, her mom asked her to pray about it, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Originally from Arkansas, Ariel began her real estate career in Atlanta before relocating to the Emerald Coast.
Ariel enjoys working with clients on a personal level, taking the time to truly understand their needs and dreams when buying or selling along 30A. She uses her formal training and background in psychology to better serve her clients and thrives in the fast-paced, strategic nature of real estate. She especially loves the negotiating process and believes every client deserves an expert in their corner.
Outside of real estate, Ariel, Randy, and their son, Hart, embrace the 30A lifestyle, spending as much time outdoors as possible. They love traveling and are actively involved in their church. Ariel enjoys weightlifting, writing poetry, and reading philosophy—but if she ever goes missing, you might find her at the WaterColor Beach Club.
Miranda arrived finally in 2023 full time
Miranda Vaughn first dipped her toes in the Gulf Coast sands at just six weeks old and somehow always knew this special stretch of shoreline would one day be more than just a place to vacation. Years later, it was here on these same beautiful beaches where she and her husband first met, proving the area even more meaningful to them both.
Before relocating here in 2023, she was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Georgia, just outside of Athens. Miranda spent over a decade as a middle and high school teacher before beginning her journey as a homeschool mom to her daughters. In 2021, she and her husband purchased their first short-term rental property along the coast, sparking both a deeper love for the area and an understanding of the investment side of real estate. Two years later, they made the leap and relocated to the Emerald Coast full time, turning what had always felt like a second home into their everyday reality.
During that time, Miranda and her husband also bought and sold several properties, experiences that made her transition into a professional career both natural and rewarding. Today, she is licensed and actively practicing real estate in both Florida and Georgia, offering her clients expertise across two dynamic markets
Today, Miranda brings a teacher’s patience, a mother’s care, and an investor’s eye to her work in real estate. She thrives on helping clients clarify their goals, whether they’re searching for the perfect home, an investment property, or ready to build their dreams. Known for her attentiveness and ability to make each step of the process feel approachable, she believes every client deserves to feel confident, supported, and understood when making one of life’s biggest decisions.
When she’s not with clients, you can find Miranda boating at Shell Island, swimming in the Gulf, or connecting with other local agents at networking events. Being involved in the community, not only as a trusted professional, but also as a friend is a role she values deeply.
